Correct Repetitions Sections - Tool
When we practice and play our pieces, we want them to be simply gorgeous. What a feeling that is. However, we often play our pieces from the beginning to the end, and things happen. We try again. And again. Sometimes this approach works, but if we practice like this most of the time, it can result in easier sections improving more quickly than challenging ones. Since this imbalance can be discouraging, let’s consider another way that’s more fun and actually works wonders.
Success happens more quickly with repeated, focused pratice of small skills
Using a practice chart designed for sections practice promotes self-discipline, achieves results, and helps maintain enthusiasm for mastering a piece. Progress is seen, felt, heard, and enjoyed.
